Hey everybody! I know it's been a while since the Infinity war trailer was released. I hope that everybody has already seen it but I know that only a fraction of those actually understood everything going on in the trailer. Don't worry subject, I am here to explain everything you saw in the 2:24 min clip. Let's not waste any more time and dive into the awesomeness.
In the opening scene, we see a yellowish planet, Everyone is very unclear about this planet. Supposedly, it's the planet where the climax takes place. This could even be earth after facing Thanos's wraith, we don't know. We see storms and lightnings on this planet which suggest that it is a seriously dangerous planet. In the next scene, we see Tony holding someone's hand and he looks really grieved. This indicates that there are certainly some characters who won't last till avengers 4. My guess is that the hand is of Steve Rogers. He was not supposed to survive even the Civil War so I am almost certain that he isn't surviving Infinity war. In the background, we hear Nick Fury's voice saying that remarkable dialogue from the first Avengers movie after Coulson's "so-called death" death. In the next scene, we see Bruce Banner who looks like he crashed into the New York Sanctum. The look on Wong and Dr. Strange's face tells us that it's the first encounter they've had with the hulk. It also seems as if it's the first time Bruce Banner has been on earth after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Next we see Vision and Wanda in an apartment. It seems like they've retired from their job of being superheroes and trying to lead a normal life with a normal relationship. Their relationship is certainly confirmed by the look on their faces in the next scene where vision seems more human than ever before. He has taken a human form but the mind stone is still shining on his forehead. Next we see Thor in a spaceship which looks like that of the Guardians Of the Galaxy, since Thor was seen crash-landing on the wind-shield of their ship in the footage we saw at D3. In the next scene, Bruce is seen repairing or modifying a Hulk-Buster arm with a certain smile on his face. He was certainly smiling at Natasha as she is seen in the next scene smiling back at someone. This whole setup is in Wakanda. From what we already know, Wakanda is going to be an important place in this film as the soul gem is most probably with the Wakandans. This will only be confirmed after Black Panther releases in February. The next to come is the Marvel logo with the very iconic, recognizable and spine-chilling Avengers theme song. But this time, there certainly is a sort of heavy tone in the music which continues concerning the watchers.
The next scene show New York and then the New York Sanctum where we see Wong, Strange, Tony and Bruce concerned by some thing that's going on outside. Tony approaches the door and opens it and then we hear Thanos's voice saying "In time, what it's like to lose" The next scene features Peter Parker and more particularly, the spidey sense. Let me remind you that it's the first time that Spidey sense in actually portrayed in the new marvel movies. Thanos continues with this sentence in the background, adding more to the drama. The passengers in Peter's bus are pointing toward something in the city that looks like a large ring-shaped space-portal that is levitating over the city. Peter is certainly concerned upon seeing this object. In the next scene, all four of the people who were earlier seen in the New York sanctum are out in the open and seem as if they are looking at the ring-shaped object, where Tony steps forward and looks very concerned.
Next we see some corpses lying on the ground and someone walking over them. This "someone" turns out to be Loki. He is having the Tesseract, which means that he took it from the vault before Asgard was destroyed. He is offering the Tesseract to someone else and that might be Thanos. We know that Thanos had unfinished business with Loki as Loki was supposed to deliver the Tesseract to Thanos but he failed to do so in the first avengers movie. Now comes the dreaded one himself- Thanos, in the next scene, through a portal that looks like was opened with the help of the tesseract. There is an evil grin on his face as he looks around himself. This certainly appears to be a demolished place as there are broken buildings and clouds of ashes in the background. It could be the planet that we saw in the opening scene, Stanlee knows! Thanos's sentence completes here and the next scene features Iron spider suit in full action. Spidey is on that ring-shaped object that we earlier talked about. In the background, we hear T'Challa ordering to "evacuate the the city, engage all defenses and get this man a shield!" "this man" is certainly referred to as Cap.
The Iron spider scene is followed by a scene where Thor is seen holding a large ring-shaped object (not the earlier one) together. At the back of the device, there is a very bright object. It could be a sun or a large energy blast or energy source, we can't tell. In the next scene, Proxima Midnight, one of Thanos's children (God! he has too many of them) and elite of Thanos's Black Order is seen throwing his over-powered spear at someone who catches it with ease. This was Captain America with a bearded-look and in a suit without the glory of the red, white and blue. He has certainly became the Nomad. In this scene itself, Wanda was using her power against someone and upon seeing Rogers, takes a sigh of relief. Next scene comes and we see a new and improved Hulk-*ahem*Thanos-buster suit. We are not certain who is inside this suit. Let me tell you, by the style of the leap, I am so afraid to say that it might be the Hulk in the suit. Just imagine a Hulk flying around and kicking ass with repulsive blasts. Deal with it Thanos! May be, that was the modification which Bruce was doing to the suit in the earlier scene.
In the next scenes, Natasha is stabbing someone with a spear that is certainly not hers and Strange is using his power to hold something in the air. He stops doing that after sometime and becomes more concerned by the sight of something in the air. Next scenes showcase Rogers and Panther fighting an army of ugly-looking four-armed creatures in Wakanda. Thanos grabs Iron Spider by the neck and slams him onto the ground of the mysterious planet in the next scene. He starts another statement which I am going to mention here itself. It says, "Fun isn't something one considers while balancing the universe. But this, does put a smile on my face." The scenes that follow, show us a helpless Tony and a cornered Vision. Someone is trying to take out the mind stone from Vison's head with a spear. We're not sure what happens next, did the stone come out? Did Vision die? We don't know.
Now we see Thanos putting the space stone onto the Infinity Gauntlet which is already housing the power stone. We're not sure how he got his hands on to it as it was locked inside the vault on Xandar. The scene which follows shows us Thanos knocking out the very shiny new Iron Man in just one blow. Next scenes features the Winter Soldier with a shiny new arm, arming a gun. He is accompanied by Wakandans who are all ready for a battle with Thanos's army. The next scenes show us Panther retracting his claws, Falcons shooting bad guys from the sky and a group of our favorite superheroes including Hulk, Rogers, Widow, Bucky, Panther, Falcon a Wakandan woman who looks important and War Machine! It looks like he has recovered from his paralysis and is ready to blow some shit again. This part certainly indicates that a major part of the movie is going to be based in Wakanda. It looks like Thanos might be after its Vibranium resources or something more significant. And then comes the Avengers Infinity Wars logo. We see some scratches on the logo too which again indicate that the Avengers are going to be left with some irreversible scars after the movie.
In the final scene, Thor is seen to have encountered the Guardians of The Galaxy which confirms that he was on their ship in the early scenes. The glimpse of the Guardians Of the Galaxy shows us a "Teenage" Groot as well. Then comes the saddest part of the movie when we're forced to realize that we have to wait till May 2018 (actually April) to get our questions answered.
From what I understand, Thanos is certainly not going to die in this movie. I don't expect Marvel to kill the hype built in 10 years in just 1 movie. I think that Avengers 4 which is going to be released in the mid of 2019 will also showcase Thanos in its major parts.
So that was all the trailer had to offer. What are your thoughts about the movie? Do mention them in the comment-section below.
