MULTIVERSE : HYPOTHESIS OR FACT?

The universe is a vast ocean with each galaxy as a droplet. We are just another speck of dust in a desert longer than eternity.You must have read these sentences stating how we are so small in comparison to the cosmos that exist.Well, there is no doubt about that but what if the universe itself is just a particulate matter in an existence of a much greater reality? What is beyond the end of the universe ? is it really the largest singularity or is it just a science project of an alien kid for which he got a 'D'.

Fellow geeks , lets dive into a much greater reality or you know , just a reality.

WHAT IS THE MULTIVERSE ?

The multiverse (or meta-universe) is the hypothetical set of possible universes, including the universe in which we live. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, and the physical laws and constants that describe them.

OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE : This ,in big bang cosmology,is the visible part of the universe that can be seen from any part of the earth . Each place in the universe has its own observable universe .

This happens because different places receive light from every part at a certain time.

the observable universe is centered on the observer as a spherical ball.The part that lies outside the observable universe( which cannot be seen) is called as the unobservable universe.

As the universe is expanding, the objects which were much closer before are much farther than 13.8 billion light years distance.The diameter of the observable universe is 93 billion light years. Thus the edge of the observable universe is at 46 billion light years away.

INFINITE UNIVERSES

Now lets come to the point that what if beyond the observable universe there exists another universe . As rapidly and inevitably as these Universes expand, the space-time containing them expands even more quickly, driving them apart from one another, and ensuring that no two Universes will ever meet.

sounds impossible right ? well some say" not really". I'm one of the some.

Because the observable universe extends only as far as light has had a chance to get in the 13.7 billion years since the Big Bang (that would be 13.7 billion light-years), the space-time beyond that distance can be considered to be its own separate universe. In this way, a multitude of universe exists next to each other in a giant patchwork quilt of universes. Hence resulting in infinite universes.

BUBBLE UNIVERSES

What if the universe expanded like a balloon after the big bang rather than in a straight manner thus causing inflation. eternal inflation is a theory which states that the universe inflated like a balloon.Cosmologists have also stated that during eternal inflation some parts of the universe stopped inflating thus resulting in small bubbles called bubbles universe.This resulted in these universe developing their own galaxies and other singularities.Hence our universe is a bubble universe and there are a lot more universes existing in a much greater plane of existence.

• PARALLEL UNIVERSES

This is a topic i love talking about because you know ....comics.we know the three dimensions of space and one that of time but there is an idea that there exists much more dimensions than the these.The theory states the fact that there exists a vast number of universes existing parallel to each other i.e hovering over each other.This idea was proposed by Princeton University's Paul Steinhardt and Neil Turok of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Ontario, Canada. Plato reflected deeply on the parallel realities, resulting in Platonism, in which the upper reality is perfect while the lower earthly reality is an imperfect shadow of the heavenly. The lower reality is similar but with flaws. parallel universes are the part of the many worlds theory proposed by Hugh Everett based on irrational behaviour of certain aspects in a study of quantum theory that even contradicted classical physics laws.

It is even believd that these stacked universes does not remain stable but some of them even collide with each other thus resulting in a reset of those two universes . (well this is a completely different topic to talk about.)

alternate universe (daughter universe) : this is also a part of the parallel universe idea that states the possibility of numerous universes with each universes alternately existing with each other i.e each existing scenario in an universe is the alteration of the same scenario from some other universe.That is if you are an unsuccessful nobody in this universe , there might be an another version of you with a bank balance of Mark Zuckerberg himself in some other universe. I mean there is atleast a chance right?

There is also a theory that states that dreams are a bridge to parallel universes . Since the physical nature of other universes might be different from ours, the laws of nature might be too. Hence people believe that dreams connect us with that of our other version in some other parallel universe .I would say that this is the least plausible explanation but it still is .

The multiverse is the existence of these possibilities and a numerous others on a vast and a much greater plane of existence. Who knows what lies beyond the observable universe and what is the base of our existence? , i mean why do we exist ? or how do we exist ? these are some of the theories that states a slight possibility that we just might not be the only reality out there and this intrigues me as well as scares me. We are so small and so petty compared to the universe and it is straight ass scary !

As we saw in the Men in black movies that there are a vast number of universes contained inside much bigger ones and it just goes on. Even the comics exist based on the existence of the multiverse.The show called stranger things talks about the existence of a mirror reality that exists side by side with that of the original reality (there is also a monster ! its a good show you should check it out.)

Even if the multiverse theory is proved what could the consequences be of a world with vast realities? if so then we can say that expressions like free will or many other physics theories are just nothing. Our whole scientific world would be changed completely .
